M Financial Group has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters Columbia Northwest to support local youth and raise awareness about the important mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters.
M Financial will present Big Brothers Big Sisters’ largest fundraising event, the fifth annual Big Hero Gala, on February 9, 2019. As presenting sponsor, M Financial will join other business leaders to raise funds and encourage significant investment in our next generation of community leaders.
“As a former Big Brother, I understand the positive impact this program has on individuals both big and little,” says Wes Thompson, CEO of M Financial. “Working with young people not only helps instill values in them, it reinforces the values in our everyday lives, and that goes a long way to enriching our community.”
In addition to its support of the Big Hero Gala, M Financial will participate in the 2019 BBBS Columbia Northwest Beyond School Walls mentoring program, connecting youth to opportunities and access in the corporate world. For M Financial, investing time and money in today’s youth is an investment in the health and well-being of the community for generations to come.
Together with Big Brothers Big Sisters Columbia Northwest, the two organizations are working to be defenders of potential.
In a world of causes, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes a difference by creating professionally supported one-to-one relationships for kids who want to realize their full potential. We know that positive, meaningful relationships deliver a sense of hope, purpose, and self-esteem. We know that kids succeed – in the classroom and beyond – when they feel loved, safe, and secure. And we know our kids represent the future health, safety, and stability of our community as a whole.
