At the invitation of M’s Women’s ForuM, M Financial Board Member Joe White spoke about effective mentorship and sponsoring with the M team.
During his July 17 talk, Joe shared his personal experiences and perspectives, with a focus on mentoring and sponsoring women.Joe’s presentation defined each type of relationship and focused on their differing goals and value. To increase women’s professional success, Joe recommends actively looking for ways to organically empower and collaborate with others.
He provided suggestions for those being mentored or sponsored and encouraged team members to seek out these relationships fearlessly. Joe also called on leaders to pioneer a spirit of mentorship, fair sponsorship, and inclusiveness
