We are pleased to announce the publication of The Advisor's Guide to Disability Insurance (AGDI), a comprehensive resource that provides insight on planning issues and the fundamentals, features, and plan design concepts for Disability Insurance (DI) products.

Our latest publication with the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law highlights the diversity of our business, our commitment to client advocacy, and our continued interest in working closely with professional advisors (including attorneys, CPAs, and Family Offices) to deliver value to clients.

The AGDI is designed as an educational resource for professional advisors, including ABA members, who are involved in the evaluation, purchase, and management of DI policies on behalf of clients. It follows The Advisor's Guide to Life Insurance (AGLI) published in 2011, and The Advisor’s Guide to Long-Term Care (AGLTC) published in 2013.

Authored by Tami Barraclough, Erik Reynolds, and Dave Watros—of M Financial's Disability team—the guide draws on their collective experience working with M Member Firms and M’s disability Carrier partners. The AGDI is presented in 13 chapters, from Disability Insurance: Background and Basics to The Advisor’s Role in Planning, and a chapter on Sample Planning Situations.

Please join us in thanking the AGDI authors and ABA for their contributions to this valuable resource.
