Josh Braverman joined the M Financial Board of Directors in 2024 as an external director with over 20 years of executive experience within the life and annuity insurance and reinsurance industries, with specific expertise in investment and financial analysis. He currently serves as an Operating Partner at 26North.

Previously, Josh was Chief Investment Officer of Somerset Re following his nearly decade-long tenure with AXA Equitable, where he held a number of management and board roles, including CIO, Treasurer and Head of Derivatives, and President, CEO, and CFO of AXA Corporate Solutions Life Re.

Josh began his career as a fixed income and derivative trader at Goldman Sachs and then at Deutsche Bank. He later worked for the U.S. Treasury Department as a Sovereign Debt Advisor. In 2003 he joined Aegon, where he eventually became an Executive Vice President and Global Head of Derivatives. During his time at Aegon, Josh led the formation of Aegon Sony Life Insurance Company and their joint venture reinsurance company.

Josh attended The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania and graduated in 1989.
