Paul Ryan was the 54th Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, one of the youngest to hold that role. Before becoming Speaker, Paul Ryan served as chairman of both the House Ways and Means Committee and the House Budget Committee. In 2012, Ryan was selected to serve as Governor Mitt Romney’s vice-presidential nominee.
Ryan is the author of The Way Forward: Renewing the American Idea and serves as a distinguished visiting fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. He is the founder of the American Idea Foundation – a nonprofit that works with individuals, grassroots organizations, and lawmakers to expand economic opportunities.
